The unique performance of PTFE makes it widely used in industrial and marine operations such as chemical, petroleum, textile, food, papermaking, medicine, electronics, and machinery.

1. Application of anti-corrosion performance

Due to the defects in corrosion resistance of materials such as rubber, glass, and metal alloys, it is difficult to meet the harsh conditions of temperature, pressure, and chemical media coexistence, resulting in astonishing losses. PTFE materials, with their excellent corrosion resistance, have become the main corrosion resistant material in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and textile. Its specific applications include: conveying pipes, exhaust pipes, steam pipes for corrosive gases, high-pressure oil pipes for steel mills, high, medium and low pressure pipelines for aircraft hydraulic systems and cold compression systems, distillation towers, heat exchangers, linings for towers, tanks, wide doors and other chemical equipment. The performance of seals has an impact on the efficiency and performance of the entire machine equipment

The friction coefficient, non stickiness, wide temperature resistance range, and good elasticity make it very suitable for manufacturing seals with high corrosion resistance requirements and operating temperatures above 100 ° C. Seals for groove flanges of machines, heat exchangers, high-pressure vessels, large-diameter vessels, valves, pumps, glass reaction pots, flat flanges, large-diameter flanges, seals for shafts, piston rods, valve rods, impeller pumps, pull rods, and so on.

2. Application of Low Friction Performance in Load

Due to the fact that the friction part of some equipment is not suitable for lubrication, such as in situations where lubricating grease will be dissolved by solvents and fail, or in industrial fields such as papermaking, pharmaceuticals, food, textiles, etc., it is necessary to avoid lubricating oil contamination. This makes PTFE filled material the most ideal material for oil-free lubrication of mechanical equipment parts (directly bearing loads). This is because the friction coefficient of this material is the lowest among known solid materials. Its specific uses include bearings for chemical equipment, papermaking machinery, and agricultural machinery, as well as piston wear, machine tool guide rails, and guide rings; Widely used in civil and construction engineering as supporting sliders for bridges, tunnels, steel roof trusses, large chemical pipelines, storage tanks, as well as as as as bridge supports and bridge rotations

3. Application in electronic and electrical fields

The inherent low loss and small dielectric constant of PTFE material enable it to be made into enameled wires for use in micro motors, thermocouples, control devices, etc; PTFE film is an ideal insulation material for manufacturing capacitors, radio insulation pads, insulated cables, motors, and transformers, and is also an indispensable material for industrial electronic components such as aerospace; By utilizing fluoroplastic films with high oxygen permeability and low water vapor permeability, oxygen sensors can be manufactured; By utilizing the characteristic of polar charge deviation of fluoroplastics under high temperature and high pressure, parts such as microphones, speakers, and robots can be manufactured; By utilizing its low refractive index characteristics, optical fibers can be manufactured.

4. Application in medical and pharmaceutical fields

Expanded PTFE material is pure inert, has strong biological adaptability, does not cause rejection to the body, has no physiological side effects on the human body, can be disinfected by any method, and has a porous structure, making it suitable for various rehabilitation solutions, including artificial blood vessels and patches for soft tissue regeneration, as well as surgical sutures for blood vessels, heart, general surgery, and plastic surgery.

5. Application of Anti stick Performance

PTFE material has the smallest surface tension among solid materials, does not adhere to any substance, and also has excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, making it widely used in anti stick areas such as manufacturing non stick pots. The anti sticking process mainly includes two types: installing PTFE components or thin sheets on the substrate, and applying PTFE coating or paint cloth composite with glass to the substrate through thermal shrinkage.
